The new revelation is who will be playing the role of Preacher. That information was released by one of the show’s producers, Seth Rogen on his Twitter account yesterday afternoon. The part has gone to Dominic Cooper probably best known as Tony Stark’s genius father Howard Stark in the Marvel films and on TV’s “Agent Carter.” However, he has also starred in some other high exposure projects such as the “Fleming” miniseries, the HBO super hit “Band of Brothers,” and the upcoming “Warcraft” film due out on March 11, 2016.
For those not familiar with the 1990’s comic book series, “Preacher” follows protagonist Jesse Custer from a small Texas town. He travels with a companion from heaven that gives him the ability to make anyone do whatever he says. His other troupe of followers include a vampire from Ireland named Cassidy portrayed by Joseph Gilgun (Misfits) and Custer’s ex-lover Tulip, played by Ruth Negga (Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). These four set on a path to hunt down God. Also in the cast are Lucy Griffiths (True Blood) and Ian Colletti (Rake).
