“Kingsman: The Secret Service” continues to rack up the box office numbers. After two weeks it remains the second highest grossing film bringing in a tad over $18 million USD.
Beginning Sunday March 1 the Syfy Channel will pay tribute to Leonard Nimoy with a five-hour marathon of episodes that feature Nimoy in "Star Trek," "The Twilight Zone" and several other TV appearances the late actor made in the early days of his career.
Martial Arts icon Bruce Lee, loved by millions across the globe will get the first Lee family sanctioned bio-pic which will be produced by his daughter, Shannon Lee.
A new series based on the international hit show “The Returned” will debut on March 9th on the A&E cable network. It stars “Battlestar Galactica” actor Aaron Douglas, Mary Elizabeth Winstead (A Good Day To Die Hard) and Dylan Kingwell (The Tomorrow People). Story focuses on a small town that is shaken apart when several people thought to be long dead return very much alive but also very confused about their situation. Another very similar show called “Resurrection,” also based on the original hit series airs on ABC.
The Disney Channel will release its made-for-TV Movie “Invisible Sister”. Starring Rowan Blanchard (Girl Meets World) who causes her sister to become invisible after a science project goes haywire. DGA winning director Paul Hoen directs. Filming begins in March for a release sometime later in 2015.
Finally, Tom Ellis (The Fades) has been cast to be the lead in Fox’s new Vertigo/DC Entertainment series “Lucifer.” Len Wiseman (Live Free or Die Hard, Underworld) has signed on to direct the pilot. Many will remember Ellis as Robin Hood for the ABC “Once Upon a Time” series.
