"The Man From U.N.C.L.E." stars Superman's Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer (The Lone Ranger) in the big screen remake of the popular 1960's TV series. The film co-stars Alicia Vikander (Seventh Son), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby) and Hugh Grant (The Rewrite).
Cavil will play the part of Napoleon Solo while Hammer takes on Illya Kuryakin the TV roles made famous by Robert Vaughn and David McCallum. The Leo G. Carroll role of Waverly wil be taken up by Grant.
Rumor has it famed soccer player David Beckham may have a cameo role.
The movie will not be bringing the two spy heroes into the 21st Century. Director Guy Ritchie (Snatch, Sherlock Holmes) will keep the storyline fixed in the era of the 1960's. The plot centers around the efforts of a CIA operative (Solo) and his Russian KGB counterpart (Kuryakin) in a joint partnership to find those responsible for a new proliferation of nuclear weapons and put an end to the operation.
Look for it in theaters beginning August 14, 2015.
